Our Promise to the Environment
Discover the Strait was conceived out of a love for the Northumberland Strait and desire to share this unique body of water with others. It is also the body of water our fisher captains depend on for their livelihoods. Our commitment is to leave the smallest footprint possible while building awareness and support for this delicate eco-system. Learn more about our sustainability promise.
Our Committment to Safety
Our captains go above and beyond to make sure our guests have a safe, comfortable, and memorable experience. All of our captains and their vessels are compliant with Transport Canada's Small Passenger Vessel program and display a Blue Decal on their vessels indicating their participation in the program. This means that each vessel, its machinery and equipment comply with regulations. That procedures are in place for safe operation and for emergencies. That all crew receive safety training and passengers receive a safety briefing.
